Gaura's have beautiful flowers that looks like butterflies hence the common name 'butterfly bush.' They produce flowers from spring and continue into autumn. 

These beauties are semi-deciduous and hardy. During cold winter months they will lie down and/or burn down, although once spring is in the air and the sun is nice and warm, they will sprout new shoots and be adorned with flowers. 

They grow best in full sun with light shade in harsh summer areas, their also not to prone on overwatering so check the soil moistness before watering.
